Gigante
2013
This museum is designed for the collection of Gigantes from the Bestiari Foundation. The Gigantes are hollow festive figures, about 10-14 feet tall depicting archetypes of the town, such as the founding royal family members and historical figures.

The design of the museum is inspired by the dance moves of the Gigantes. The swirling movements at different speeds and directions are captured into the floor plan layout and exhibition orientation. The Gigantes are located at different levels which visitors will circulate through and around the exhibit platforms in a similar pattern as dancing of the Gigantes. These elevated platforms are supported by a cluster of steel columns which is a representation of the aluminum framing of the Gigantes.
