This furniture museum is located beneath the Uffizi Gallery in Florence, Italy. It houses all collective history and memory of each significant moment through furniture pieces. Visitors can enter through the wide staircase or take the ramp to slowly emerge into the house of furniture. The skylights are positioned over the underground circulation paths and away from the display cases to preserve art pieces from direct sunlight.
The 2-story tall glass display cases present furniture from all over the world with historical prominence. The ramp wraps along the display cases from ground level to the level below creating a single path to view the furniture exhibits. Additionally, on the lower level, there is a wood shop, a conference hall and a café, where visitors can access the river front.
